The SC30
The SC30 is a 30 ft full carbon offshore trimaran. The boat is built by Marstrom AB - Sweden, probably one oft he most renowned carbon boat builders worldwide.
It has been designed by the prestigious designer Marc Lombard who made it similar to the Orma 60 Trimarans, which are well known through the Nokia Oops Cup campaign.
Due to its extremely light weight, combined with a large sail area, under light and medium wind conditions the SC30 is faster than the Volvo Ocean Racers or any America´s Cupper. The reason for this outstanding performance lies besides the above mentioned in the construction of the boat. Probably no other boat makes such efficient use of the wind energy.
This has already been proven during last year´s Round Gotland Record.
Other events like the Musto Double Hand Challenge, or Round Fehmarn, Germany´s largest Multihull event, had the SC30 winning the trophies for the first ship home, thus underlining the perfect performance of the SC30.
